Greetings from President

Welcome to 14th International Symposium on Purine and Pyrimidine Metabolism in Man (PP11) which is to be held in next February in Tokyo. I'm pleased to announce it on behalf of Purine and Pyrimidine Society as president of PP11.

PP11 is to be co-hosted with Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Gout and Nucleic Acid Metabolism this time and we are planning to have co-host programs partly. There is currently remarkable progress in this field. Some uric acid transporters have been identified and a lot of epidemiological studies about hyperuricemia have been published. In Japan, the guideline for management of hyperuricemia and gout has been currently released. I would like the participants to provide opportunities for interactive discussions between researchers who are engaged in the updated studies.

Tokyo is relatively safe city and it offers variety of food and wide range of accommodation. You will enjoy safe and comfortable symposium and excursion during the period of symposium.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Tokyo, February 18 to 21.

Sincerely,

July 13, 2010

Tatsuo Hosoya M.D.
President of 14th International Symposium on Purine and Pyrimidine Metabolism in Man (PP11)
